It tells the story of three very different families competing for the same house in the 20th century. They thought a 1920s Spanish-style villa would solve all their problems. Denis Leary and Ray Romano appeared in the Ice Age franchise (2002-present). I was surprised to see the show underrated, but it made more sense when I saw so many reviews explaining how it didn’t make it after the first episode. The show is a mysterious slow burn that may not be for everyone. I personally found it funny and entertaining given the tone of Liz Feldman, who I like. I really liked the cast and everyone’s performances. I wasn’t sold on Ray Romano at first because of my bias (I couldn’t say Everybody Loves Raymond for the life of me), but it went away pretty quickly. The different characters all have their own subplots and it creates a mess that gradually, if not completely, unravels. By the last episode, I was pretty invested in the story, even though a big twist was resolved too quickly. I’m not mad about it though. I’d love to see more of this show and I hope they get a second season. No need to waste time scrolling endlessly, here’s the full lineup of new movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix this month.
